Do you recognise these teddies?

By Sam Gregory-Manning  Monday Aug 10, 2015

If you go down to Temple Meads today, you’re sure of a big surprise… for there’s a zoo’s worth of lost teddy bears now living at the station’s lost property vaults hoping to be reunited with their owners.

First Great Western launched its Teddy Rescue campaign last November for the many wayward cuddly toys left behind on the network, which covers 10 counties including Bristol.

A menagerie of over 40 stuffed animals have been rescued by staff, with hedgehogs, giraffes and penguins. But, unfortunately, not a single one has been returned to its original home.

The mugshots of the cuddly persons can be found on the First Great Western website and First is asking anyone who recognises them to email teddyrescue@firstgroup.com with their details, to be reunited.

Some of the teddies have been posing for pictures on the beach, as First steps up its campaign.

If the toys are not returned to their original owner after three months, they will go on from their sandy adventures to children’s charities to be re-homed.
