Doctor Who returns to Bristol for filming

By Martin Booth  Friday Jan 20, 2023

Tantalising clues have appeared in Clifton as filming begins for what is believed to be the upcoming series of Doctor Who.

Frederick Place has a new road sign of Minto Road, W11 – the Notting Hill area of London.

A sign for a fictional new business, First Steps Architecture, has also appeared on nearby Bruton Place next to the former Mr Swanton’s barbershop.

Security crews were preventing access to Frederick Place from Richmond Hill on Friday morning, with cameras and boom mics spotted close to the junction with Wetherell Place.

It is the first time in 2023 that Doctor Who has filmed in Bristol, with areas of the Old City including Corn Street and Broad Street seeing filming with David Tennant, Catherine Tate and Neil Patrick Harris in June 2022.
