Duke and Duchess pay surprise visit to St Paul’s charity
In an unannounced part of their schedule on Friday, Harry and Meghan visited One25, a charity specialising in helping women to break free from street sex work, addiction and other life-controlling issues.
One25, based on Grosvenor Road in St Paul’s, provides women with practical and emotional support; from basic needs – such as a hot shower, free clothing or a nutritious lunch – to expert advice and crisis care from a caseworker or visiting professional.
Meghan even wrote messages of support on bananas as part of food bags. She said she was inspired to make the spontaneous gesture after remembering a school lunch project in the USA, where positive affirmations were written for children.

During their visit between their engagements announced in advance at the Bristol Old Vic and Empire Fighting Chance, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex found out more about the work of One25, before meeting volunteers who run the outreach programme which is a life-line for the 150 women still working on Bristol’s streets.
