Easton street named among best in the UK

By Martin Booth  Thursday Apr 25, 2019

From a family-run shop that sells more than 9,000 different food and drink products to a mosque that has recently had a major refurbishment, a brilliant butchers to a banging bakery, a small street in Easton has long been known as one of Bristol’s best.

And now it’s official, with St Mark’s Road being shortlisted for The Great Street award in a prestigious national competition which aims to “celebrate and learn from great placemaking”.

St Mark’s Road is among 15 places across the UK that have been named as finalists in the 2020 Urbanism Awards, organised by the Academy of Urbanism.
