Enjoying a twilight bus tour of Bristol this Christmas
“Hooray!” cheers Pete as another Christmas tree comes into view in Clifton Village.
Pete is one of the tour guides at Bristol Insight who on Fridays and Saturdays in December are running twilight tours, with their familiar buses sticking to the familiar route across the city but this time with a festive feel.
So as well as learning about the origin of tarmac while driving up Bridge Valley Road and Brunel’s various accomplishments, the tour guides will share a few Christmas facts.
is needed now More than ever
On a recent Friday evening, with those on board enjoying a mince pie while wrapped up in cosy red blankets, Pete was especially enthusiastic not only when he spotted a tree but also when some particular fine decorations came into view such as those able to be glimpsed over the walls of Bristol Zoo from the top deck of the bus.
And if that’s not enough to get passengers into the Christmas spirit, all the children on board are given a present at the end of the tour.
Tickets cost £15 for adults and £6 for children. To book and for more information, visit www.bristolinsight.co.uk/tickets
