‘Epic-scale’ drone light show coming to Bristol
An immersive drone light show taking audiences on “a mesmerising journey through time” is landing in Bristol.
Evolution has been created by Celestial, the light artists behind drone shows at Eurovision 2023 and London New Year’s Eve celebrations.
Taking place on December 21 at Seat Unique Stadium, it will see a swarm of drones flying in unison in an an “epic-scale” theatrical event for all ages.

The show, described as a “cosmic voyage”, guides viewers through the story of human evolution, from single-cell organisms to the reign of the dinosaurs and culminating in a celebration of life on our planet today.

“Evolution has been three years in the making,” said John Hopkins, Celestial co-founder and chief creative officer.
“This is so much more than a drone light show, it’s an experience with stadium scale, created to bring audiences together using a new medium to tell the story of time.”
Neil Priscott, chief operations officer at Gloucestershire County Cricket Club added: “Bristol is home to many fantastic events and we’re so excited to be able to be a part of bringing something genuinely unique to our vibrant city!”
Evolution takes place on December 21 at 4pm-5.30pm and 7.30pm-9pm. Early bird tickets are on sale now on from £14 and can be found here.
