XR Bristol project boycott Black Friday message onto Cabot Circus
‘Boycott Black Friday. Buy secondhand. Repair, reuse, recycle.’
That was the message beamed onto one side of Cabot Circus by members of Extinction Rebellion Bristol to mark a US import which marks the day following Thanksgiving and sees a variety of discounts offered to shoppers.
“It’s a simple message projected on to one of Bristol’s biggest shopping areas #BoycottBlackFriday” wrote XR Bristol on Twitter.

Another message from XR has recently appeared on posters across Bristol, this time with slightly more straightforward language.
‘Don’t fall for Black Friday. You don’t need that shit.’
