Fatal collision on A37 at Whitchurch

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision near Bristol.

Three vehicles were involved in a collision on the A37 at Hursley Hill at around 6am on Monday morning.

A man driving one of the vehicles died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The A37 is currently closed both ways between the junction with Queen Charlton Lane, near Whitchurch, and the B3130.

These road closures are likely to remain in place until mid-afternoon while a full investigation is carried out at the scene.

In a statement police said: “The closures are having an impact on surrounding routes, which are extremely busy as a result.”
