Final day of Bristol24/7 membership campaign
For the last month, we have been running a campaign to secure the future of our independent journalism by building our community of members.
Today is the last day of our campaign and we have very nearly reached our target of 1,000 individuals supporting us. Thank you for your support during this campaign and a huge welcome to those who have signed up.
However, we need 70 more new supporter members to reach our target.
is needed now More than ever

Reaching 1,000 members will give us greater resilience as a business and enable us to achieve some of our ambitious goals this year.
In the past we have relied almost entirely on advertising income, but the last two years have proven just how much this can fluctuate. For the stability that we need to launch our plans for this year and to continue to grow our coverage, we need the support of our community of readers.
We believe in bringing you as broad and transparent coverage of Bristol as we can, but we also want to invest in our city and its people. We love Bristol fiercely, but we recognise that there are disparities in our communities and as a city we face challenges. As a community interest company, we have a responsibility to address these inequalities and we have the platform to do so effectively.
This year we are revamping our work experience to help more young people get their first experiences in journalism. We are hiring Bristol’s first dedicated climate editor. We are investing in and training more community reporters to give a voice to groups across Bristol that the mainstream media all too often does not reflect. Soon we will announce the charity partners and community centres we are working with this year and we are continuing to support the important work of the Square Food Foundation.
Informing and inspiring our community with our independent journalism is the reason we exist, but together we can do so much more.
If you enjoy reading our stories, getting our newsletter, listening to our podcast and being part of the Bristol24/7 community, please consider supporting us and helping us reach this target.
Membership is £5 a month or £45 a year and goes directly to keeping Bristol24/7 alive, independent and growing. In return for your support, we give our members access to freebies, deals and discounts at a host of wonderful independent business across the city so you can enjoy free pints, free doughnuts and much more.
If you can, join us today and help us secure the future of Bristol24/7’s journalism.
Thank you.
