Fire crews called to blaze on Hinton Road

By Mike White  Monday Mar 2, 2015

Fire crews were called to a blaze in a family home on Hinton Road in Easton this morning. Five engines were in attendance, and Hinton and Greenbank roads were both closed as fire officers in breathing apparatus worked to control the fire.

Andy Laken, Watch Manager B for Avon Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the fire was called in at 10.49am. The fire started in the kitchen of the Victorian terraced house and swiftly spread upwards, causing severe damage throughout.

Fire crews broke through the roof at the rear of the property and brought the fire under control. Damage to the adjoining property is still to be assessed.  The cause of the fire is still unknown.
