First Gromit Unleashed 2 sculptures revealed
Isambard Kingdom Brunel as you have never seen him before will form part of this summer’s Gromit Unleashed trail, alongside a peacock, a cactus and a rainbow.
These are some of the first sculptures that have been unveiled before the start of the trail in July that will once again be raising money for The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity.
The first five sculptures were unveiled on Observatory Hill with the Clifton Suspension Bridge in the background.

Gromit Unleashed 2 takes place between July 2 and September 2 featuring more than 60 sculptures in more locations across Bristol than ever before.
It follows the success of the Grand Appeal’s two previous sculpture trails, the original Gromit Unleashed in 2013 and Shaun in the City in 2015.
The Gromits raised £2.3m for Bristol Children’s Hospital when they were sold at auction and the Shauns just over £1m.
This year, Gromit will be joined by both Wallace and Feathers McGraw:

Rainbow by Jenny Urquhart; sponsor A J Homes; location Flaxpits Lane, Winterbourne

Peacock by Amy Timms; sponsor Bristol Post; location Hartcliffe Community Farm

Brunel by Tim Miness; sponsor Womble Bond Dickinson; location SS Great Britain

Cactus by Simon Tozer; sponsor YTL Developments; location Greenway Centre, Southmead

Bristol Words by Zoe Power; sponsor Grant Thornton; location Sion Hill, Clifton
A printed map will be available at the start of July and there will also be a Gromit Unleashed 2 app released, as well as a special passport trail created to celebrate the trail’s innovation themes.
For the first time this year, some sculptures will be interactive, with organisers promising ‘trails within trails’.
