Brislington hosts charity’s first furniture shop
St Peter’s Hospice are well-know for their charity shops around the Bristol area, but their newest store is different. Their first ever furniture shop has found a home in Brislington, and hosts an array of furniture, books, clothes and kick knacks.
St Peter’s Hospice raises money for adults with life-limiting illnesses, and helps them physically and physiologically.
The shop already seems to be popular, as people queued outside before the doors opened on it’s first morning. Since May 2017 , the team at the new shop have been organising the start-up, gathering furniture donations and hiring staff.
is needed now More than ever
Area managers Louisa Merchant-Locke and Sue White were at the opening. “We’re very pleased with the opening and are sure that it will do well and be a success,” Louisa said.
Currently, the store has five paid members of staff and seven volunteers, but they are always looking for more volunteers to go in and help out.
