Free Business Support in Bristol for Entrepreneurs from a Migrant Background

A new programme by ACH is offering free business support to entrepreneurs from a migrant background living in Bristol.

The Migrant Business support (MBS) programme by ACH is designed to help entrepreneurs from a migrant background navigate the world of business and get their ideas up and running or advance a pre-existing business.

The MBS programme, which is delivered in partnership with West of England Combined Authority and the University of Bristol, was launched last year and aims to support 500 people over two years.

Better Business
Better Business is an initiative launched by Bristol24/7 to help businesses thrive, whilst creating a positive impact on Bristol and the people who live here.

The programme offers:

·       Help exploring self-employment, setting up a business or supporting an existing business

·       1-2-1 business and entrepreneurship support from experts in a variety of industries

·       Online and in person advice and training on Product Development, Ecommerce, Marketing, social media, HR, Customer Acquisition, Retention and more

·       A programme of business networking and training events

All of which has no time limit or cost.

ACH, who provides integration services that create opportunities for individuals from a migrant or refugee background to lead ambitious lives, has worked with entrepreneurs from all kinds of sectors, from lifestyle, care, import/export, cleaning, beauty and so much more.

They have been supporting people set up businesses for more than two years now and helped Dina to set up her business on the website Etsy during COVID-19, where she was able to start selling her range of products inspired by Sudanese culture. Their Business Consultants are trained to support you through all the stages of setting up a business.

The programme is free and available to anyone who is a third country national, from a migrant background and currently living in the South West of England or the West Midlands.
