Free coffee at the Canteen: Perk of the day, October 9

By Meg Houghton-Gilmour  Saturday Oct 8, 2022

Bristol24/7 is completely independent, and our local journalism is supported by our community of members. Members pay £5 a month or £45 a year and are a crucial part of ensuring that Bristol has an independent local media voice for years to come.

To say thank you to our members for their support, we organise ‘perks’ – freebies, discounts and competitions – such as free pints, theatre tickets, yoga classes and more with the best of Bristol’s local businesses.

This October, we’ve got a different perk for every single day of the month.

On day nine, we’re celebrating our partnership with one of Bristol’s best independent venues, The Canteen.

The Canteen serve up great tasting vegetarian food, locally made drinks and free live music.

Bristol24/7 members can enjoy a free coffee at The Canteen every day except for Sunday. The Canteen use local coffee roasters Extract, who were named ‘Best All-Round Specialty Coffee Roaster‘ in the UK earlier this year.

The Canteen made the news earlier this year for being one of the first restaurants in Bristol to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability by implementing carbon labeling on their menus, to encourage customers to make more conscious decisions when ordering.

If you want to enjoy delicious coffee with a good conscience in Stokes Croft, there is no better place than The Canteen.

The Canteen are also now taking bookings for celebrations over the festive period. Their two and three course menus are available for lunch and dinner, and are all vegetarian or vegan and low carbon impact. All evening bookings come with a free drink, and there will be live music every night.
