Goats move onto nature reserve in south Bristol
A herd of goats have been moved onto a nature reserve to help maintain the site in south Bristol.
The four-legged animals have been put on Hengrove Mounds as part of a partnership between Street Goat, Bristol City Council and Avon Wildlife Trust’s My Wild City project.
Ian Barrett, CEO of Avon Wildlife Trust said: “Grazing animals, like Street Goat’s goats, are brilliant at maintaining scrub and grassland areas in a way which promotes biodiversity and allows wildflowers to thrive.
is needed now More than ever
“This will support the incredible invertebrate species which call Hengrove Mound their home, such as the nationally scarce carrot mining bee.”
