Grayson Perry artwork stolen from Bristol gallery
A valuable piece of art created by artist Grayson Perry has been stolen from a gallery in Clifton.
Alien Baby, a limited-edition gold sculpture, was taken from the Hidden Gallery in Clifton Arcade.
Police say two men were seen in the vicinity when the 27cm tall piece, which is made from glazed ceramic, was stolen.

“One of these men is described as white, in his thirties, of slim build, with dark facial hair,” said a spokesperson from Avon and Somerset Police.
They added: “He was wearing a camouflage-pattern baseball cap, a dark zip-up jacket, with a blue V-neck shirt underneath, as well as dark joggers and white trainers.”
The figure is valued at £22,500 by online art brokerage company Artsy. It appeared in Perry’s 2018 Bafta-nominated series Rites of Passage in an episode examining birth.

Perry is an artist, writer and broadcaster and is best known for his work with ceramics.
He and his wife, Phillipa, recently displayed artwork from them and celebrities at Bristol Museum & Art Gallery created during hit television series Grayson’s Art Club.
Police ask the public to 101 and give the call handler the reference number 5222209796 if anyone has seen Alien Baby or has any other information.
