Gromit Unleashed 2 sculptures on show at Cribbs Causeway

By Martin Booth  Thursday Sep 13, 2018

Divided into groups such as Colourful Curiosities, Big Top Treats, Bristol’s Best and of course the Headline Acts of Gromit, Wallace and Feathers McGraw, the 67 Gromit Unleashed 2 sculptures are now all on display in a specially erected tent at Cribbs Causeway.

The Greatest Dog Show on Earth 2 runs from September 15 to 30, with hour-long sessions available to be booked here.

The exhibition is the last chance to see the sculptures before they are auctioned off in October to raise money for The Grand Appeal.

Gromit Unleashed 2 took to the streets of Bristol from July to September, with several interactive and animatronic sculptures, and in a world-first for a charity sculpture trail, contactless donation technology.

The Bristol Children’s Hospital Charity’s trail app, Detect-O-Gromit 2 – created in collaboration with Aardman Digital – was downloaded more than 40,000 times, reaching number one on the iTunes download charts within hours of its release.

All of the money raised from the trail will go to The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, funding pioneering, life-saving equipment and research so that young patients have access to the best possible healthcare.
