Happy Easton
Community campaigners have jumped on the ‘Happy’ bandwagon, producing their own video version of the record-breaking Pharrell Williams hit to celebrate Easton.
The video shows residents of the east Bristol district dancing along to the mega-hit Happy – which earlier this month became the most downloaded track ever in the UK.
Some 18 locations around Easton were used as stages for the three and a half-minute track, including the Easton Community Centre, Bristol Sweet Mart and various shops and takeaways along Stapleton Road.

Meanwhile, officers and police community support officers danced around the Trinity Road police station in support of the production.
A spokesman for the force said: “The officers seen in this video are part of the local neighbourhood team (beat officers and PCSOs) who work very closely with the community in Easton – we want them to be the friendly faces the community turn to when they need them.”
