Helen Legg and Nikesh Shukla: creative types

By Martin Booth  Friday Sep 12, 2014

Spike Island director Helen Legg and novelist Nikesh Shukla are the Bristol representatives in the Hospital Club’s shortlist of the 100 most influential and innovative people working across Britain’s creative industries in the past 12 months.

The hClub100 list also includes names such as television presenters Ant and Dec, actor Peter Capaldi, artist Grayson Perry, author and journalist Caitlin Moran, and musician Damon Albarn.

Legg is described as “the inspirational leader” of Spike Island, “a new model visual arts organisation” which includes a gallery, BA course, studios, design businesses, a fabrication company and workshops.
