Help give a powerful voice to older people in the city
We’ve teamed up with the Bristol Older People’s Forum (BOPF) to support with a project to recruit and train new writers in the city as part of our Better Bristol initiative. If you live in Bristol, you’re over 55 and you’re interested in writing about your local news, views and opinions this project could be for you.
No previous formal writing experience is necessary and only need to be available for two morning training sessions on Thursday 11 April and Thursday 18 April from 9.30am-1pm. You will then join the BOPF network as a contributor to their newsletter and could see your work published in Bristol24/7.
The training sessions will take place in the Age UK building at Canningford House on Victoria Street.
is needed now More than ever
The BOPF works with partners to promote social inclusion in the city and improve the quality of life of older people. They are also currently recruiting for new trustees.
