Hot tub boat rides could be coming to Bristol
The people of Bristol could soon have another way to travel with plans to launch “hot tub boat rides” in the city.
Skuna Boats wants to bring its floating hot tubs alongside its “BBQ boats” to the harbour from 2024.
The firm, which currently offers boating experiences in London, trialled its “state-of-the-art vessels” during Bristol Harbour Festival in July.

A Skuna spokesperson said: “Skuna Boats were thrilled to be showcasing our extraordinary boating experiences to visitors at the Bristol Harbour Festival.
“Our brand-new, innovative British designed and built boat was on show and promises to redefine leisure boating, providing unique adventures and experiences.”

As well as a self-driving hot tub, Skuna says the three-in-one vessel can also operate as a “picnic city explorer” or a “BBQ boat”.
The UK start-up says it is in discussions with Bristol City Council about bringing its attraction to the harbour permanently from 2024.
Skuna was rated London’s second best experience in the London Tourism Awards 2022 and holds multiple TripAdvisor’s Traveller’s Choice awards since opening in 2018.
