House brightens up Bristol for Halloween

By Charlie Watts  Saturday Oct 29, 2022

A husband and wife have transformed their home into a light and sound show to celebrate Halloween.

Ian and Ann Cooper have covered their house with 8,500 lights to mark the spooky celebration.

The display, which is synchronised to Halloween music, includes a singing pumpkin, winged skeleton and more.

Now in its third year, the Coopers Light Show on Andover Road in Knowle is also for a good cause, raising money for Guide Dogs.

Bus driver Ian says he started planning this year’s show on Boxing Day last year: “There was nothing on the telly, and I’ve done a bit every day since then.”

He added: “I like seeing the kids dancing and enjoying themselves. We try to brighten people’s lives and save their electric bills so they don’t have to do this themselves!”
