How will Bristol look in 2033?
Balloons? Tick. Bridges? Tick. Houses built on the site of the former zoo? Tick.
Some elements of Bristol in 2033 will already be familiar but how will our city look in ten years’ time?
The mayor’s office has looked into their crystal ball to create a new video.

“New transport options have changed life in our city.” Mass transit will still be “on the way” but there are new bridges across Bristol’s waterways.
In south Bristol in 2033 there will be a “world class youth zone serving thousands of young people” while “more thriving businesses alongside new homes and community space have rejuvenated Filwood Broadway”.
The video was shown ahead of Marvin Rees’ address at the State of the City event at the Wills Memorial Building on Wednesday evening.
“That really much is setting out what we could become, the future, if we describe it, and work together to make it happen,” said Rees.
