The red carpet event is being hosted at Watershed on October 4, with stars of the new BBC One show taking part in a Q&A after the screening.

Made in partnership between the BBC and Amazon Studios and filmed across Bristol, The Outlaws (which had the working title of The Offenders) sees Oscar-winning actor Christopher Walken in his first lead British television role.

Series one and two of the series have been filmed consecutively, following seven strangers from different walks of life forced together to complete a Community Payback sentence in Bristol.

Stephanie Marshall, head of journalism at BBC West, said: “It’s fantastic that more and more programmes are being made in Bristol.

“The city has been buzzing with all the A-Listers in and around town, and it’s brilliant that a prime-time programme is being made in our great city.”
