Hundreds march through city in support of Palestine
Hundreds of people have marched through Bristol in solidarity with Palestine.
A group met at Castle Park at around midday on Saturday, with some climbing onto the roof of the bandstand where speeches were delivered below.
There were chants including “free, free Palestine” and “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free” as the crowd grew in size.

Carrying banners and Palestine flags, the group then marched through the city centre to College Green where further speeches were held.

Outside City Hall, the Palestinian supporters chanted “Marvin Rees, shame on you”, following controversy over City Hall being lit up in the colours of the Israel flag.
The Bristol march was one of a number of a protests across the UK on Saturday, with a pro-Palestinian march drawing thousands in London.
