By Alison Maney  Monday Apr 25, 2016

Sustainable food start-up LettUs Grow, created by University of Bristol graduates, has entered the Virgin Business competition (VOOM2016) to pitch their business idea to Richard Branson.

Lettus Grow hopes to reduce food waste by designing attractive, soil-less containers for sustainably growing salad in the home.

According to the company, 45% of all salad in the UK is wasted every year, equivalent to £690 million.
