Lib Dems choose Campion-Smith for election
Henleaze councillor Clare Campion-Smith will be the Liberal Democrat candidate for Bristol North West at next year’s general election.
At a meeting in Sea Mills, Campion-Smith was chosen to take on sitting Conservative MP Charlotte Leslie.
“I am proud and excited to have been chosen as the Liberal Democrat candidate for Bristol North West,” she said.

Campion-Smith, a former teacher, has been a councillor since 2006 and was the party’s lead member for Children’s Services between 2009 and 2012.
The General Election will take place in May 2015. In 2010 the Lib Dems came second in the seat, gaining 31.5% of the vote.
