Light show planned for Harbour Festival
This year’s Harbour Festival will feature a huge multimedia show at the Lloyds Amphitheatre to celebrate Bristol’s European Green Capital status.
‘In It for the Good’ will light up the semicircular bank building for what promises to be a spectacular light projection on Friday, July 17 and Saturday, July 18, with pyrotechnics released from the roof.
The free show will be produced by The Colour Project, who have previously organised displays in locations including Battersea Power Station in London and the Liver Building in Liverpool (below).
All projections and pyrotechnics will be coordinated in time to a musical soundtrack, with effects such as a tall boat celebrating the history of Bristol, rain storms and a mysterious green glow worm.
Harbour Festival organiser Mike Richmond said: “Crowds are invited to gather all around the harbour and in Lloyds Amphitheatre to watch the show, which will be the biggest projection mapping project ever produced in the city.”
