Lorry crashes into Floating Harbour

By Martin Booth  Thursday Oct 21, 2021

A lorry remains half-submerged in the Floating Harbour on Thursday morning after rolling backwards into the water.

Bristol24/7 was told by a person at the scene that the driver was uninjured in the incident.

It is believed that they were between the cab and the trailer but managed to jump off before the vehicle crashed through some metal barriers close to Waterfront Square.

Fire crews, police and ambulance workers are attending the scene next to Revolucion de Cuba, with police extending the cordon around the crashed lorry soon after 8am.

The lorry belongs to Wandering Star Facilities, who provide location facilities for film and television productions.
