Man arrested after stabbing in Knowle West

A man has been arrested and another taken to hospital after an assault in Knowle West.

Police were at a row of shops known as Jarman’s for several hours on Thursday after reports of a stabbing.

The area outside the Marked Up Tattoo Studio was cordoned off, and a scientific investigations van was also at the scene.

A spokesperson for Avon & Somerset Police said: “Police were called to Leinster Avenue at about 3.45pm following reports of a male, in his 40s, having sustained a stab wound injury. He was taken to hospital for treatment.

“A man has been arrested and remains in police custody.

“Enquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage, are ongoing.”
