Man arrested after armed police descend on street
A firearm is yet to be found after police arrested a man believed to be carrying one in south Bristol.
Officers were called to the scene at around 7pm on Tuesday after receiving a call from a member of the public.
Armed officers were deployed to Kenmare Road in Knowle West who located a man matching the description given by the caller.

He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a firearm without a certificate.
Avon & Somerset Police say enquiries into the incident are ongoing, with officers remaining at the scene at the junction of Tralee Walk on Wednesday.
“While a firearm has not been located, a thorough search of a property linked to the man is being carried out as part of our investigation into the incident,” a force spokesperson said.
