Man arrested over public toilet rape

A 20-year old man has been arrested following the ambush and rape of a man in public toilets in the city centre of Bristol.

The victim was threatened with a knife in a cubicle of Colston Avenue public toilets between 3pm-4.30pm on Wednesday, February 3, before being assaulted.

The 26-year-old was later marched to a cashpoint to withdraw money by the suspect.

Police said on Tuesday that they have now arrested a man on suspicion of rape. He has been bailed until February 19, pending further inquiries.
