Man suffers ‘life-changing’ injuries after knife attack
A man is recovering at home from “life-changing” injuries after allegedly being assaulted in St Paul’s.
Avon and Somerset Police said the victim, who is in his 40s, was attacked as he walked along Frome Valley Walkway between 11pm and 11.30pm on Tuesday, June 20.
The man reportedly made off towards St Paul’s roundabout tunnel when he was confronted again and attacked with the bladed weapon.

A 37-year-old man was arrested and bailed in connection with the attack.
The victim sustained deep cuts to his head, hands and arms, the force said, and was taken to hospital with possible life-changing injuries. He has since been discharged.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed an incident in which a man was seriously assaulted in Bristol.
Last Tuesday, the victim had been confronted by an unknown man and attacked with a bladed article.

Investigating officer, DS Lisa Jones, said: “This is a serious assault which has resulted in one person sustaining significant injuries while they were walking and minding their own business.
“Knife crime is a very serious matter. Anyone who makes the decision to carry a knife on their person is making a choice. Someone could be seriously harmed or worse, even if you only choose to carry a knife for protection.”
Officers are appealing for anyone with information or who saw the incident or aftermath to get in touch.
Police said the suspect is described by the victim as “black, in his 30s, around 6ft to 6ft 2ins tall, of slim build, with short, black hair”. They added he was wearing a black hooded jumper, dark trousers, and trainers.
