Man taken to hospital following assault
A police cordon remained in place close to Greenbank Cemetery for much of Sunday following an assault in which a man required hospital treatment.
The cordon was in place on Greenbank View where a community of van dwellers have been living for several years.
Police told Bristol24/7 that they “believe this is an isolated incident and there is no further risk to the public”.

An Avon & Somerset police spokesperson said: “We were called to Greenbank View, Bristol, today (Sunday 26 February) at around 2.30am following a report of an assault.
“A man has been taken to hospital, but it is not thought that his injuries are life-threatening or life changing.
“One man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody.
“We believe this is an isolated incident and there is no further risk to the public.
“Officers remain at the scene today offering high visibility presence and reassurance.”
