Biospheres, lollies that conduct sound, interactive textiles for older people – all areas of research being investigated here in Bristol. Tuesday, October 24 is an opportunity to meet the experimental research teams behind these and other projects funded by the Brigstow Institute in 2017.

Brigstow is one of the University of Bristol’s research institutes and an incubator space for new research partnerships and ideas. Its annual showcase is an opportunity to explore the experimental research projects funded by the institute. All the projects draw on a wide range of different knowledge to ask, and seek to answer, the core question of what it means to be human in the 21st century.

Join the teams for a range of interactions from making masks to deep sea creatures, from the abduction of a wealthy heiress in the 18th Century to creating a future biosphere, and more. It’s free, there’s no booking required and it’s suitable for all ages.

Brigstow Institute showcase is on Tuesday, October 24, 10am – 6pm at The Station, Silver Street, BS1 2AG
