Environmental campaigners in Bristol have decorated statues with masks to highlight the high levels of pollution across the city.
The masked protest was used to promote an online petition which has been signed by more than 4,000 people calling for Bristol to “breathe clean air”.

In May Bristol was named as one of around 40 towns and cities across Britain and Ireland which breached air pollution safety levels.
Green Councillor Charlie Bolton said: “All around the city centre people live, work and visit Bristol whilst breathing in dangerous and illegal levels of air pollution. This is having a serious impact on our health.”
The petition will be presented to the city council later.
