Michael Graydon: Family ‘take solace’

By Pamela Parkes  Monday Mar 9, 2015

The body of Bristol boxing promoter Michael Graydon is expected to be repatriated from Monaco this week.

The 29-year-old went missing after a night out in Monaco two weeks ago.

Following extensive searches of the principality sniffer dogs found his body last week in a ravine close to where he was last seen.

It is believed that he fell to his death.

His family have released a statement saying they will “take solace in the fact that Michael did not suffer and he died instantly in his fall”.

His sister, Kelly-Jane Mann, said: “It is with sadness that we can confirm that Michael our brother, friend, cousin, son, uncle and Dad has been found in a deep ravine, in Monaco in the area where he was last seen”.

She also paid tribute to everyone who supported the search for the father of one.

“It’s impossible for me to list all the people in Bristol and afar that used their skills to best as they possibly could and raise the awareness in the campaign to find Michael. It’s because of all of you, we found Michael and are able to bring him home to rest.”
