Mother charged with murdering newborn baby

A 33-year-old woman has appeared in court charged with murder after the body of a newborn baby was found at a house in Bristol.

The woman appeared at Bristol Magistrates’ Court on Saturday morning and was remanded in custody to appear at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday.

Police were called last Monday after the body of a newborn baby girl was found at a house in Knowle. The woman was arrested the following day on suspicion of murder.
