Mysterious addition to city centre fountain

With her modesty protected only by a pair of starfish, a mysterious statue of a mermaid appeared as an addition to a fountain in the city centre.

But the statue in the King George V memorial fountain on Narrow Quay vanished almost as soon as it appeared.

The monumental figures from the former CWS building replaced by Broad Quay House have never had it so good.
