Naked cyclists take to the streets of Bristol
You could hear the Bristol World Naked Bike Ride before seeing it.
One minute Queen Square was sedate with sunbathers, picnickers and promenaders. Then it was taken over by a cacophony of bells, whistles and naked bodies on bicycles.

Bristol’s World Naked Bike Ride left from the Full Moon on Saturday afternoon, with hundreds of cyclists slowly making their way through the city.
Here they all are having a break Queen Square:
The aim of the ride was threefold:
- To highlight how vulnerable cyclists are on the roads. Our roads are still too dangerous for many people to even consider cycling, and far too many cyclists are killed on the roads each year.
- To show how car and oil-centric our society is. Bristol is European Green Capital 2015, yet is choked by roads and traffic.
- To celebrate bikes and bodies. Showing that cycling is fun.
And then they were off again:
The World Naked Bike Ride hopes to return bigger than ever in 2016. Follow the latest news via the Facebook group: www.facebook.com/groups/bristolwnbr/
