New florist and event hire shop opens

By Charlie Watts  Monday Sep 12, 2022

A brother and sister team have opened a new florist and event hire shop.

Denis and Lily O’Neil have transformed a former barber shop into their new business.

Lily’s Grace Flower Design is part of a row of shops known as Jarman’s in Leinster Avenue – and becomes the only flower shop in Knowle West.

Florist Lily, who has been working from home for the last four years, said: “I’ve got young children and a puppy so I needed some extra space and I’m loving it here.”

As well as selling flowers, Denis and Lily’s company supplies equipment for events such as weddings, birthday parties and baby showers.

Items which can be hired include light-up numbers, a champagne wall and a sweet cart.

Lily’s Grace Flower Design is also the first florist shop in Knowle West since the closure of The Flower Stall at Jarman’s in 2020.
