New Gromit Unleashed sculptures go on display at Cribbs Causeway
A “pup-up” mini Gromit Unleashed sculpture trail has been installed at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway.
Among the 15 sculptures are Gromit, Wallace, Shaun the Sheep and Feathers McGraw, with brand new designs as well as firm favourites from previous trails.
Each sculpture in the Grand Adventure trail represents a different part of the world, with new designs including two from Bristol artist Tim Sutcliffe: Ice Ice Puppy in the fountains of The Mall and Postie McGraw seeing Feathers disguised as a post box.

Other new designs are Rio and Aloha! by Emily Ketteringham, Yodeleyheehoo: Yodeleyheehoo and Valentina by Carys Tait, and Reef Encounter by Paula Bowles.
Returning favourites include Wensleydale Kid painted by Paula Bowles for Gromit Unleashed 2 and Alex the Lion painted by Simon Tozer as a tribute to the film, Madagascar, which also featured in Gromit Unleashed 2 in 2018.

The recommended route around the indoor trail follows The Mall’s one-way system to make it easy for visitors to comply with social distancing.
Gromit Unleashed: The Grand Adventure is organised by The Grand Appeal, the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, in partnership with Aardman to celebrate 25 years of their partnership.
Since 2013, The Grand Appeal’s sculpture trails have raised more than £6m for the hospital, funding pioneering research, cutting-edge medical equipment, art, music and play for the children and families in hospital.

The Grand Appeal director, Nicola Masters, said: “Gromit Unleashed: The Grand Adventure will take visitors on a safe adventure, while helping raise awareness of the sick babies and children in our region that still need our help and support.
“We hope to bring a smile to the faces of visitors as they visit The Mall in the lead up to Christmas and find some old favourites for trails gone by as well as some exciting new additions.”
