New sci-fi web series filmed in Bristol

By Martin Booth  Friday Oct 3, 2014

“After an alien ship appears on the Bristol skyline, a group of friends have five hours to find loved ones and evacuate the city.”

This is the basic premise of Horizon, a new 10-part science-fiction series filmed in Bristol that will be broadcast on the internet later this year in bitesize four- to six-minute episodes.

Produced by Hanover Pictures in collaboration with CBA Productions and Nutty Squirrel Films, the producer and director is Paul Dudbridge with a small cast made up of  Paul Tonkin, Alicia Ancel, Simon Pearce, Kessie Bartlett, Kate Davies and Jason Allen.

Horizon was filmed in locations across Bristol, including one episode featuring a supermarket being filmed which was shot in the Bottle Yard Studios in Hengrove on a set usually used by Sky 1 sitcom Trollied.
