One of Bristol’s newest churches celebrates its first birthday
A new church that meets at the Aerospace Bristol museum on the edge of the former Filton airfield is celebrating its first birthday on Sunday.
A special service with baptisms is taking place to mark the anniversary of Concord Church, which stemmed from St Nicholas Church in the city centre in partnership with the Diocese of Bristol and Holy Trinity Brompton.
Concord Church says that its vision “is to play our part in the evangelisation of the nation, the revitalisation of the church and the transformation of society”.
is needed now More than ever
Concord Church leader, reverend Andy Carter, said: “We’re thrilled to be celebrating our first birthday as Concord Church.
“We’re giving thanks for all that has happened over the past year with a celebration this Sunday with baptisms, bubbly and cake.
“We’d love everyone to join us as we continue the adventure as a church in the new housing developments on Filton Airfield.”
