By Martin Booth  Friday Jul 8, 2022

A police horse remains at a specialist equine hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car near Bristol.

The collision, which happened on Beggar Bush Lane near Ashton Court soon before 2.30pm on Friday, also left a police officer and the 70-year-old male driver of the Ford Focus car in hospital, with neither believed to have life-threatening or life-changing injuries.

The injured horse, called Rocky, is a five-year-old chestnut Irish Draft cross and was on patrol with his stable-mate Platinum.
