By Mia Vines Booth  Sunday Jan 21, 2024

Police have issued a warning after a dog walker found a piece of meat “stuffed with pills” in Greenbank Cemetery.

The dog walker shared the image on social media, where a sausage stuffed with yellow and blue pills was visible in the meat’s cross section.

Police urged people walking their dogs to keep an eye on what their pets were eating.

A message posted on Avon and Somerset police’s X account read: “If you are in the Greenbank Cemetery area of Fishponds, please keep an eye out.

“Our PCSOs found a piece of meat that had been stuffed with pills. Whilst we are unsure exactly what it was intended for, please be careful about what you let your dogs eat whilst out on a walk.

“The Fishponds Police Team ask that you keep an eye on what your dog is eating and only let them eat what you have given them.

“Please report any suspicious activity to 101 or via our online reporting system.”
