Police name man found dead in harbour

The man found dead in the floating harbour at the weekend has been named as Scott Rooney, from Winford in Chew Valley.

Rooney, 22, is thought to have got into trouble in the water in the early hours of Saturday morning. Despite an extensive search, his body was not recovered until about 12 hours later.

Police said they are still trying to establish how he came to be in the water and have reissued their appeal for witnesses.
