Police seeking Clifton hit and run witnesses
Police are looking to trace two men who they believe may have information about the hit and run death of Dan Hickey.
Hickey, 25, was found in Gordon Road, outside the The Richmond pub, in Clifton at about 6.45am on Saturday, August 29.
The pub’s CCTV camera captured two men walking past at 4.25am. Both men have short, dark hair and are wearing T-shirts.
Tayo Jones, 22, of Southville Road, Southville, is charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident.
He was remanded in custody at Bristol Magistrates’ Court earlier this month, also charged with driving other than in accordance with a licence and using a car without third party insurance.
Two other people – a 39-year-old woman and 29-year-old man – are due to answer bail in October.
Police are urging witnesses to come forward through the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101, with reference 97187/15.
