Prince William visits Bristol to launch Mental Health at Work website
Bristol mayor Marvin Rees greeted Prince William outside the Engine Shed on a drizzly Tuesday afternoon ahead of the launch of a new website dedicated to mental health in the workplace.
There was tight security around Temple Meads for the arrival of the Duke of Cambridge, who was introduced to Rees by Lord-Lieutenant Peaches Golding.
During his visit to Bristol, where he also went to Yurt Lush, Prince William met with businesses that have already promoted good mental health in the workplace, and spoke to companies about the new website.
is needed now More than ever
Mental Health at Work is a new website containing documents, guides, tips, videos, courses, podcasts, templates and information from organisations across the UK, aimed at helping businesses get to grips with workplace mental health.
The website is curated by Mind, the mental health charity, and funded by The Royal Foundation – the primary philanthropic and charitable vehicle for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – as part of their Heads Together campaign.
Prince William said: “I’m delighted that The Royal Foundation has supported Mind in creating such a valuable tool.
“If you are a business owner, a team leader, a line manager, you work in HR, or just believe in supporting the wellbeing of your colleagues – Mental Health at Work can help…
“My ambition is that this gateway can be the start of a big shift in working culture. It can genuinely help businesses ensure mental wellbeing is part of everyday working life and because the places we work are so pivotal in our lives, they can also be the drivers of even bigger change.”
