Phil Nott, co-leader of the Lee Abbey community, said: “30 years praying for and serving Knowle West – now occupying the ground hallowed by 80 years of prayer by the Sisters of Charity – is worth giving thanks for.
“We are committed to the long haul of community transformation in our beloved Knowle West, and to all its people whether of faith or none.”
The community is part of the wider Lee Abbey Movement, which is based in north Devon.
On July 16, a free event is set to take place in Knowle West to mark Lee Abbey’s milestone in the estate.
